FlowState Body Doubling:

A Shared Online Focus Space for Neurodivergent Adults

FlowState Body Doubling meets once weekly on Zoom every Thursday at 12 PM EST.

This shared focus space is designed specifically to support executive functioning challenges commonly experienced by neurodivergent adults, including difficulties with task initiation, focus, overwhelm, motivation, prioritization, follow through, and working in isolation.

Many neurodivergent people function better in the presence of others. We are not always meant to complete life tasks entirely alone. Body doubling can help support nervous system regulation, accountability, momentum, and the ability to begin and sustain tasks with greater ease.

Each session includes a brief grounding and intention setting period followed by quiet shared work time where participants can focus on personal tasks, creative projects, paperwork, organizing, studying, life administration, or other goals in a low pressure and supportive environment.

Participation is always optional. Cameras are encouraged during check ins and optional during work periods. Members are welcome to quietly work alongside others, listen, focus, doodle, organize, or simply use the shared space as gentle support for executive functioning and nervous system regulation.

Why Body Doubling Works

Many neurodivergent adults struggle with executive functioning challenges such as task paralysis, procrastination, burnout, inertia, overwhelm, and difficulties with task initiation. Over time, these challenges can impact work, creativity, organization, self care, and our relationships with both ourselves and others.

FlowState Body Doubling offers a supportive shared focus space where people work alongside one another in real time. Body doubling can help support focus, accountability, nervous system regulation, motivation, and momentum through the simple experience of shared presence.

Although this group meets online, it offers an opportunity to reconnect with the kind of support and community many of us are missing in modern life. Sometimes just having other people beside us while we work can make it easier to begin.
